Stephen Hart’s role allows him to assist the team in identifying the best possible solutions for client needs and opportunities. Stephen is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and has a desire for providing exceptional customer service, while maintaining a clear focus on the unique goals of each individual. He utilizes a goals-based approach to financial planning that allows the client to fully understand what is required to maximize their financial future. Stephen began his career in the financial services industry in 2011 with GuideStone Financial Resources.
Stephen is also a regular contributor to several financial forums including NerdWallet.com and Investopedia, and is regularly quoted in a variety of financial periodicals. His own articles have been featured in notable publications such as USA Today, NASDAQ and the Christian Science Monitor. He is an active member of the DFW chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and also serves on the Talis Investment Committee.
Stephen holds a B.B.A. and M.B.A. from Baylor University and completed his CFP® coursework at Southern Methodist University. Stephen and his wife, Rachel, have one daughter, Joanna. The Harts are active members of The Heights Baptist Church in Richardson. He is an avid follower of all things Baylor and enjoys regular attendance to Baylor Football games. They currently live in Plano with their dog, Jazmine.

What do you do when you’re not working? Time with family, exercise, spending time outdoors
What was the most challenging thing you’ve done? Other than being a parent? Probably passing the CFP® exam.
Who is your inspiration? I have many people and leaders in my life who have inspired me at one time, and many others that continue to do so.
Where would you like to visit? Everywhere
What is the most interesting place you’ve visited? While working at an orphanage in Honduras, I somehow ended up cliff diving at a remote waterfall in the middle of the jungle.
Who is the most interesting person you’ve met? Both George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush (separately).
Which sports teams do you follow? (In the order of how much I support them.)

Which causes do you support? My wife and I regularly volunteer for a number of causes both locally and internationally, most of which are supported by our church, The Heights Baptist in Richardson.
What's your favorite quote? Eph 2:8-9 8 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast."
Do you have any interesting relatives? Probably
Do you speak languages other than English? I’m fluent at understanding my wife when she talks to me while brushing her teeth. I’m also getting pretty good at speaking toddler.
How did you end up working in finance? I worked for a retirement plan company and saw that people tend to make really bad money decisions. I pursued the CFP® so that I can help them make better decisions.
What do you love about what you do? Helping people either A) feel good that they are making good decisions or B) feel good that they are going to make better money decisions in the future.
