Bert Butkus helps his clients become more comfortable and confident with their financial situation. He utilizes a holistic approach to explore each client’s situation, determine their goals, and develop strategies to achieve them. To best support his clients, he prefers the independent approach found at Talis. He believes his client’s needs must always be first.
Prior to his work in the financial industry, his career included consulting with and supporting many organizations, including Fortune 500 companies, to utilize advanced financial software technology to gain business efficiencies. He is able to leverage this experience and have greater insight to financial solutions to better serve his clients.
On a more personal note, he enjoys spending time with family, working out and being active. His motto is “Fit for Life”. During the winter, he loves to ski. He volunteers at Feed My Starving Children, Minnie’s Food Pantry and a career transition group. He lives in North Carrollton with his wife Angela and has two adult children. He is a member of Mary Immaculate Church and serves on the Board of Directors, as Treasurer for his home owners association.

What was the most challenging thing you’ve done? Win a Texas sectional team playoff singles tennis match with a temperature of 106 degrees at 2:00 p.m .

What is the most interesting place you’ve visited? Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain
Favorite athlete? Roger Federer
What has been an interesting event you've been a part of? In a pro-am event, played tennis against Roscoe Tanner who had advanced to the Finals of Wimbledon and lost to Bjorn Borg.
How did you end up working in finance? A natural interest in helping people to build a confident and comfortable retirement. Been managing family investments for more than 25 years. I retired from the Software industry.
What do you love about what you do? Helping people to advance and achieve their financial goals. It is interesting and should be important and relevant to everyone
