Scott Maxwell was selected by Texas Monthly magazine as one of the top wealth managers in Dallas-Fort Worth in 2009, 2011 and 2012.  Brent Everett received the same award in 2010, 2011 and 2012.  This award was based on objective market research methodology that takes into account client evaluations in nine categories, with adjustments to reflect inputs from peers, regulatory compliance reviews, and Blue Ribbon Panel reviews.  Less than 7% of the wealth managers in a market are included on the final published list. The Five Star Wealth Manager Award Program and its research process adhere to the guidelines established within the Investment Advisors Act of 1940 regarding third-party recognition. 

 

Brent Everett, Scott Maxwell, Bob Lamse, and Dave Smith have also been included in the list of "Best Wealth Managers and Financial Planners in Dallas 2010" by D Magazine.  The article appeared in the October 2010 issue.  According to D Magazine, they "asked the largest financial firms in Dallas to nominate five of their wealth managers.  Each nominee had to have a minimum of five years' financial services experience, practiced a minimum of three years with the same company, and have at least $60 million in assets under management.  We then checked the nominees' standings with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the Securities and Exchange Commission to ensure tha tthey have acceptable compliance records.  Investment performance was not a criterion.  Inclusion on our list is not indicative of the wealth manager's future performance.  None of the firms represented paid to have their wealth managers included on this list.
